Gert de Bey attended the Vrije Universiteit (VU) in Amsterdam, where he studied medicine. He graduated in this field from the Rijksuniversiteit in Utrecht. Since 1986 mr. De Bey has been active in hospital management. At the Vlietland Ziekenhuis he was member of the Board of Directors from 1996 till 2004. In 2004 he joined the Board of Directors at Rijnstate. He has been chief executive officer there since 2009.

In these positions mr. de Bey he has gained ample knowledge and experience in health care management, health law, health economics and organisation of health care, quality of care, health care finance, as well as Information and communication technology.

Since 2011 mr. de Bey has been member of the board of the Nederlandse Vereniging van Ziekenhuizen (Dutch Organisation of Hospitals, NVZ) and the Samenwerkende Topklinische opleidingsZiekenhuizen (the 28 top clinical training hospitals). Within the NVZ and STZ mr. de Bey specializes in Education & Instruction.

Freena (1981) was born in The Netherlands. After graduating cum laude from her Information Technology bachelor in 2004, she worked as a consultant and IT-recruiter. She started her 1st IT-company in 2007, followed by her 2nd in 2010. When her brother (1986) was diagnosed with autism in 2008, she worked her way specializing in autism and multitouch technology to help people who suffer like him. She is known as a Microsoft Surface evangelist and speaks, teaches and writes about the subject worldwide (Microsoft DevDays '09 '10 '11, Microsoft TechEd '09 '10, TEDxWOMEN '10, HealthValley '11 and more). She is also a role-model for Women in IT in the Netherlands, speaks and teaches at schools and started her own Women in IT user-group within NGN.

Member of the Board of Directors

Martin J.W. Bontje is member of the Board of Directors at Univé-VGZ-IZA-Trias (UVIT), a not-for-profit healthcare insurance company serving approximately 4.2. million customers in the Netherlands. Within the Board, he is responsible for healthcare contracting and healthcare innovation, as well as relationship management for corporate clients. Prior to joining UVIT, he was CEO at industry trade group Zorgverzekeraars Nederland.

Martin also serves as member of the board at Health Valley and member of the advisory board at STG / Health Management Forum.

He is married, and has three children and three grandchildren.

Mr. Bossink joined Philips Healthcare in 2000 and held a number of (international) positions in the areas of sales and marketing. In 2008 he was appointed as General Manager for Healthcare Benelux. In this role he is responsible for the marketing, sales and service activities for Healthcare in the Benelux.
Hans was born in the Netherlands and attended the University of Groningen and graduated with a degree in Business Economics. He also holds a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Hans Bossink is married, with three children.

Remco Hoogendijk

Remco Hoogendijk was born on the 9th of October 1970 in 's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. Remco studied Business Economics at Radboud University in Nijmegen and graduated in 1996.

After graduation Remco has been working as senior projectmanager Regional Development & Innovations at OOST NV and it's predecessors for the last 12 years. In this period Remco Hoogendijk worked on a lot of different projects, mainly on the fields of innovation, sme-support and health care development. In these projects he build up a lot of experience in developing and implanting EU funded projects, mainly under ERDF (Objective 2 and Interreg).

Remco Hoogendijk has shared his experiences as a guest lecturer at the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) in several seminars in Maastricht, Brussels and on different locations in the Slovak Republic.

Remco Hoogendijk was appointed to lead the focus area eHealth at Health Valley in 2007. He was chairman at the eHealth & Business convention during the second Dutch eHealth week last May, and was one of the speakers at the ICE conference and Dutch Health Innovation Event. Last October Remco organized the first Dutch Open Health 2.0 Challenge.

Frans van der Helm currently works at the faculty of Mechanical Engineering and BioMechanical Engineering for Delft University of Technology. He is the Vice advisor case western Reserve University Cleveland and the vice advisor North western University Chicago. In addition, he acts as a guest lecturer at the Technical University of Leiden en Twente.

Theo Föllings was born on the 25th of March 1961 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Theo studied Regional Business Economics at Radboud University in Nijmegen and graduated in 1987. After graduation Theo has been working for several consultancy firms. He was managing director for the Regional Development organisation for Arnhem-Nijmegen and he is at this moment working as director Innovations and director Infrastructure at OOST NV, the Regional Economic Development Organisation for East Netherlands. In his working carreer Theo Föllings worked on a lot of different programms and projects, mainly on the fields of innovation, sme-support and health care development. In these projects he build up a lot of experience in developing and implanting EU funded projects, mainly under ERDF (Objective 2 and Interreg). In the field of Health Theo is also involved as member of the management board of Health Valley, Charirman of the foundation Healthcare Innovations Netherlands and Member of the steering committee Field Lab Client Centered Care for East Netherlands.
